DARIO GAMBARIN
Performance di Land-Art per la Conferenza delle Nazioni Unite sui Cambiamenti Climatici
“COP 26 Glasgow “
Castagnaro (VR)

DARIO GAMBARIN
Land-Art Performance for the United Nations ConferenceCastagnaro (Verona)
“COP 26 Glasgow “
Dario Gambarin’s most recent Land Art performance, entitled COP 26 Glasgow was created in Castagnaro, Verona, with a tractor, plow and rotating harrow on a 26,000 square meter plot of land, without the use of any tracings on the ground. The Venetian artist, whose Land-Art performances have honored international figures including Greta Thunberg, Leonardo da Vinci, Dante, Pope Francis, Biden, Putin, and Dostoevsky has dedicated this work to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, starting on October 31st. Gambarin’s hope is that the 190 world leaders who will be participating in the meeting will not only agree on how to deal with climate-related problems and the strategies necessary to limit global warming, but as he added: “May they also address the socio-political questions that have been set aside during this pandemic driven period. Our world is the most beautiful art form we have, and it is worth fighting to make it a better place for all”.
